Welcome to the Red Mountain Hounds virtual Hunt Country (i.e.homepage). We are a foxhunting club based in Rougemont NC. This site is designed to provide interested Equestrians with information about foxhunting.
The upcoming 2011-2012 season will be a transition for Red
Mountain Hounds. David Raley ,our Huntsman for the last 10 years, leaves for the Moore
County Hounds. We are fortunate that Master & Whipper-In Garry Riggs has stepped
forward to hunt the hounds and over see the kennels. David leaves us with a great pack of
Penn-Marydels, one of the best in the country. Everyone looks forward to an exciting
season.
Plans are already under way to recruit a permanent Huntsman for the following season
(2012-2013). We are looking to continue the same breeding and hunting style that David
provided. We wish David all the best and look forward to an exciting season.
