The first Saturday in November is always Opening Meet for Red Mountain Hounds. This year the weather was perfect and the foliage was at peak color. A great way to kick off the season. Huntsman David Raley and WhipperIn Rob Millet bring the hounds over from the kennels.

Over fifty riders/horses gathered for the *stirrup cup* before the hunt.

Since 1969, the Reverend Nelius has performed the Blessing of the Hounds.

The Hounds are ready to hunt while the Tally Ho wagon looks on.

David and the Hounds hack to the first covert and this brisk morning.

The hounds strike and pursuit the scent as the field follows around the pond.

There were plenty of junior riders out including Eliza and Bella.

Tina Steed in first flight gallop past the Tally Ho wagon, while Ronnie King leading second flight is not far behind.

To end the day and drag scent is laid. The hounds race off with the filed in pursuit.
